On arrival into Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The afternoon will be spent on a city orientation tour of Harare visiting the main city highlights. This evening you will enjoy dinner
Dinner and overnight accommodation at Bronte Gardens Hotel
This morning we drive to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins located close to Masvingo. According to an age-old legend the ruins were built to replicate the palace of the Queen of Sheba in Jerusalem, and are a unique testimony to the Bantu civilization of the Shona between the 11th and 15th centuries. We explore these ancient ruins, before checking in to our accommodation for the night.
Overnight at Lodge at the Ancient City
Our destination is the majestic Matobo Hills, an area of exquisite beauty, steeped in tribal history, ancient mystery and dramatic rock landscapes. The national park has been given UNESCO World Heritage status and is popular for both white and black rhinoceros and is the world’s densest population of leopard. Not only is it here that the Ndebele people buried their great king, Mzilikazi, but Cecil John Rhodes was also laid to rest on the “Hill of the Benevolent Spirit” or “World’s View” as named by him.
The next day we track rhino by vehicle and on foot, and explore the scenery and wildlife of the park, ending with a visit to Rhodes’ grave and overnight accommodation at Matobo Hills
Our journey today brings us to the shores of Lake Kariba. It is one of the world’s largest man-made lakes and a place of outstanding beauty. At over 220 km long and 30 km at its widest point it is no wonder it is referred to as an inland sea! Our accommodation is spectacularly location with magnificent views over the islands and waters of Lake Kariba’s western side.
The following day is at leisure, or you have an opportunity to partake in many of the optional activities. Afternoon sunset cruise on Lake Kariba with game-viewing opportunities.

This morning we make our way to the Hwange National Park. The park is one of Africa’s finest havens for wildlife. It is also home to many predators and endangered species plus varied birdlife.
The whole of the next day is spent exploring this magnificent area on a full day game drive.
Overnight at Sable Sands
Today we are headed for the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. On arrival we embark on a guided tour of the falls. In the afternoon we have a relaxing sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River, basking in the afterglow of the day. The rest of the following day may be spent at leisure enjoying one of the many activities available in Victoria Falls. Overnight at Cresta Sprayview
Our safari ends after breakfast. You will be transferred to Victoria Falls International Airport in time for your departure flight. We hope to welcome you again one day on another of our African adventures!
