Trip grade: Moderate to strenuous hikes You should prepare for certain factors of travel in Bhutan. A few of the most important are: elevation, windy mountain roads and uneven trek paths. Average elevation on this trip is 2,400m. Pass crossings may be up to 4,000m.

Guests will be received at Bagdogra Airport and taken to their respective hotel in Darjeeling. In the On arrival at Paro from Delhi or Calcutta (as per guest convenience) check in to hotel. and freshen up. Lunch at town and afternoon birding along Pa Chhu (river). After breakfast we checkout from hotel and you will be transferred to Cheele La. It is the highest road pass in the country of Bhutan, located 3899 m high altitude. At Cheele la Birding at high altitude and magnificent views across the snow-topped Jhomolhari. expected species are Himalayan Monal; Blood Pheasant; Satyr Tragopan; Kalij Pheasant; Himalayan White-browed, Dark- rumped and Dark-breasted rosefinches; Fire-tailed Sunbird; Rufous-bellied Woodpecker; Eurasian Woodcock; Collard, Grosbeak; Himalayan Bluetail and Red Crossbill. and continue to Paro, 70kms, 4 hrs return drive. Flight from Paro to Bumthang, flight time 25 minutes. Amazing Himalayan mountain views from the flight. After lunch at Bumthang town continue birding along the Chummey valley and Tharpaling Monastery for some of Bhutan’s highly priced high altitude species. After having breakfast in Yangkola you will be transferred to Trashigang 130kms, 4 hrs drive. Early morning birding along the lower Lingmethang road followed by Kore La forest road birding. After late breakfast continue to Trashigang, stopping for birding in prime locations. Whole day birding along Yonphu La, Khaling and Narphung valleys.
