About Oloi Shorua
A Family Legacy of Excellence
Our story begins in 1943, when my grandfather established Mahalakshmi Glass Works, one of
India’s oldest glass manufacturers. For decades, our family business produced bottles for some of
the world’s most iconic brands — Revlon, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Diageo, UB Group, Primo (UAE), and
Rooh Afza — with exports across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. That tradition of quality, trust,
and global reach still guides everything I do today.
From Family Heritage to Travel
In 2009, I became Director of Go Beyond Travels, a division of Mahalakshmi Glass Works. By
2017, I founded Oloi Shorua as a fully independent, one-person company, driven by my own values
of luxury, authenticity, and personal service. Sarah, my very first employee, remains with me to this
day.
The Legacy of a Name
The name Oloi Shorua was given to me personally by a Maasai chief during my Go Beyond days.
In Maasai culture, it is a very powerful name — it means “the blessed one, the one who takes from
the universe and gives to the people.” What began as a gesture of honor has evolved into the
identity of the company I lead today.
A Life Shaped by Travel
Since the age of ten, I have been traveling the world alongside my father — accompanying him to
meet machinery manufacturers in Europe and the USA, and visiting factories across Asia. These
journeys sharpened my eye for detail, exposed me to global standards, and sparked the passion for
travel that defines Oloi Shorua.

I have been invited as a VIP Hosted Buyer to the world’s leading luxury travel forums, including the
International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Cannes, ILTM Asia, and ILTM Africa (first edition), as
well as the World Travel Market (WTM) Africa, Indaba, We Are Africa, and the Arabian Travel
Market (ATM) in Dubai. These invitations reflect my standing among the world’s top luxury travel
specialists.

We maintain trusted partner offices in Nairobi, Cape Town, and Malawi, ensuring seamless local
support. I personally inspect lodges, safari vehicles, guides, and even the dining experiences to
make sure every detail meets the standards of a luxury traveler.

As a passionate wildlife photographer, I spend extended time in Africa’s wilderness, capturing its
raw beauty. This perspective ensures that our safaris are not only safe and comfortable but also
designed for extraordinary wildlife encounters and unforgettable photographic opportunities.
