Ishara Mara Safari Lodge
Ishara Mara is one of the newest luxury safari lodges in the Maasai Mara ecosystem and has quickly established itself as one of the reserve’s most refined safari retreats. Located along a quiet stretch of the Mara River, the lodge combines contemporary design with one of the most wildlife-rich locations in the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
The name Ishara comes from the Swahili word meaning “a sign” or “a signal,” reflecting the lodge’s philosophy of offering a deeper connection with the landscapes and wildlife of the Mara.

Location & Landscape
Ishara Mara sits within the Maasai Mara National Reserve on the banks of the Mara River, one of the most famous wildlife corridors in Africa. This area plays a central role in the Great Migration, when wildebeest and zebra cross the river during their seasonal movement through the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem.
The surrounding plains are home to exceptional concentrations of wildlife, including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, and large herds of plains game.
Being located within the reserve allows guests direct access to some of the Mara’s most celebrated game viewing areas.

The lodge features a collection of elegant tented suites designed to blend contemporary comfort with classic safari style. Each suite is positioned to maximize views across the surrounding landscapes and riverine forest.
Suites typically include:

The lodge’s architecture emphasizes open spaces, natural materials, and a strong connection with the surrounding wilderness.
