African Safaris from Dubai

Oloi Shorua is a Dubai-based specialist in private, tailor-made African safaris and journeys across East and Southern Africa. We design privately guided safaris across Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe — planned directly by the founder, for travellers departing from Dubai and across the GCC.

We do not operate desert day-trip safaris. Every journey is a multi-day, private safari across East and Southern Africa, planned around the traveller rather than a fixed excursion.

We plan journeys for travellers from India, the USA, the UK, wider Europe, Singapore, West Africa, South Africa, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Central America and across the GCC.

We do not sell packages. Every journey begins with a conversation about time, landscape and pace, and is built from there.

Why Plan Your Safari from Dubai

Dubai sits within direct flying range of East and Southern Africa, making it one of the most efficient departure points for a private safari anywhere in the world. Being based here ourselves means we plan around the realities of GCC travel — flight timing, connections through Nairobi, Johannesburg or Addis Ababa, and the expectations of travellers used to a high standard of service from the first point of contact.

We work exclusively with a limited number of journeys at any time, which keeps our lodge and guiding relationships current and our planning genuinely attentive — not distributed across a large client base.

Where We Take You

East Africa — Kenya and Tanzania form the foundation of classic safari travel: private conservancies in the Masai Mara, Laikipia and Samburu, the Serengeti at scale, the Ngorongoro Crater, and the remote southern circuits of Ruaha and Nyerere. Uganda and Rwanda extend the journey into highland gorilla trekking territory.

Southern Africa — Botswana’s Okavango Delta and Chobe, South Africa’s malaria-free Sabi Sand, Zambia’s walking-safari heartland in the Luangwa Valley, and Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools and Victoria Falls. Namibia adds desert landscape and a different register of silence entirely.

Who We Plan For

We design for couples on a first safari, families travelling across generations, honeymooners, solo travellers, and photographers working toward specific light or behaviour. Every itinerary is private — never shared with other travellers unless specifically requested.

How Planning Works

Every safari begins with a direct conversation — about time available, landscape preference, and how much movement versus depth you want in the journey. From there, geography and season narrow the options, and the specific properties and guides follow from location within the ecosystem and the quality of fieldcraft on the ground.

Safari costs vary by season, destination, lodge category, private guiding and internal flights. As a planning reference, privately designed luxury safaris commonly begin from approximately $800–$5,000 per person, per day, with exceptional camps and private-use arrangements considerably higher. Because every safari is fully customised, exactly what’s included — guiding, park and conservancy fees, internal flights, transfers, and pre- and post-safari stays — varies by itinerary and is confirmed during planning, not fixed in advance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only work with clients travelling from Dubai and the GCC?
No — our Dubai base reflects our primary client geography, but we plan journeys for travellers from India, the USA and Europe as well.

Can I fly directly from Dubai to safari destinations?
Yes. Dubai has direct or one-stop connections to Nairobi, Kilimanjaro, Johannesburg and other regional hubs, making it one of the most efficient departure points for an African safari.

Do you offer fixed packages?
No — every journey is planned individually around the traveller. We do not work from pre-set itineraries.

Do you also plan travel within the Arabian Peninsula?
Yes, through our sister platform Arabia by Oloi Shorua, for travellers who move between Africa and the Arab world.
