Solo Traveller Safaris
A safari is one of the few journeys that genuinely rewards travelling alone. Days built around a guide’s expertise and a shared vehicle mean solo travellers are rarely isolated in the way they might be on other kinds of trips.
The Guide as Companion
On most other journeys, travelling alone means navigating unfamiliar places without company. On safari, a private guide is with you for every game drive, every meal conversation and every question about what you are seeing — the structure of the day itself works against the isolation that solo travel elsewhere can bring.
Small Camps, Not Crowds
Many of the properties in our collection are genuinely small — a handful of tents or rooms rather than a resort-scale operation — which matters more to a solo traveller than to most. A small camp’s communal dining and fireside conversation give a solo traveller natural company in the evenings without any of it feeling arranged.
Single Supplements
Single supplements are a genuine cost consideration on a solo safari and vary considerably by property — we factor this into planning from the outset rather than leaving it as a surprise once an itinerary is built, and can point you toward properties where the premium is more reasonable relative to the experience.
Planning a Solo Safari
As with every Oloi Shorua journey, a solo safari is planned individually rather than assembled from a fixed package — pricing is confirmed during planning, not fixed in advance.
If you are planning a solo safari, we would be pleased to begin with a conversation.
