The journey opens in Nairobi at Hemingways — a settled first night to rest before the honeymoon properly begins the next morning.
Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club
The journey continues to the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, on the lower slopes of Mount Kenya — manicured gardens, mountain views, and a genuinely different register from the safari chapters either side of it.
Loldia House, Lake Naivasha
From the mountain, the journey descends to Loldia House on the shores of Lake Naivasha — a working farmhouse turned intimate lodge, with boating on the lake and an easy, unhurried pace between the mountain and the Mara.
Governors’ Main Camp, Masai Mara
The honeymoon closes in the Masai Mara Reserve itself at Governors’ Main Camp — the original Governors’ property, on a bend of the Mara River, closing the journey with Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife.
