Design and Setting
Nicolas Negre and Fabia Bausch own and run all three Chem Chem properties, and the same conservation-minded ethos runs through Forest Chem Chem too. The camp’s wooded position is distinct from the open grassland surrounding its sister camps. This gives it a noticeably cooler, more sheltered atmosphere, particularly valuable during the warmer months.
The camp sits within the same private concession between Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks. Guests get access to the same flamingo-dotted wetlands and resident wildlife as the wider Chem Chem properties, alongside Forest Chem Chem’s own more intimate, forested surroundings.
Activities and Exclusivity
Game drives and walking safaris explore the private concession directly, alongside excursions into both neighbouring national parks. The camp operates on an exclusive-use basis. As a result, activities and timing can be arranged entirely around a single group’s preferences, without coordinating against other guests.
